The Board of Kerry Co-operative Creameries protects the interests of 13,500 shareholders across nine regions in Kerry, Limerick and Clare. The Board is made up of Directors from each of these regions.
Until recently, the management of company secretarial and related affairs of Kerry Co-op has been supported by Kerry Group plc. The co-op now seeks to appoint a highly capable executive to assume this role and to further develop the society in accordance with the co-operative ethos. Supporting the Chairman, Board and stakeholders the appointee will initially set up office facilities in Tralee. They will work to ensure that eﬀective governance structures, policies and processes remain in place. The appointee will be responsible for board meeting agendas, overseeing annual elections, advising the board on corporate matters and supporting the development of the future interests of the co-operative.
You will be an experienced Company Secretary with a strong financial background and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by a multifaceted organisation. Commercial acumen and experience in investment management are important attributes. The appointee will be a senior qualified accountant, possessing strong leadership skills including communication, planning, analysis and the ability to develop credibility in the eyes of all audiences.
