Consumer PR Manager

This service provider is one of the most well-known brands in Ireland. They provide residential, business and retail services across the country. They have recently been acquired and as a result are going through a huge amount of positive change. They have a need for a PR professional to join their team on a contract basis. You will be part of a collaborative, hard-working team with the opportunity to work on a number of significant, high profile projects, campaigns and events for example. This is a hands-on role, so you will need to be able to hit the ground running, and be comfortable getting involved across a variety of projects.

The Position

As the successful Consumer PR Manager, you will;

  • Work across the wider team to maximise all activations through effective PR communications.
  • Articulate the company message across a number of areas, both consumer facing and business facing.
  • Be part of the Crisis Management team, and act in an advisory capacity for any high profile complaints.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all media queries, and have a good understanding of how the media works and how to maintain relationships with key players.
  • Work closely with senior management to prepare them for media appearances and speeches.
  • Keep track of all documentations, to ensure all records are up-to-date.

The Person

To excel in this Consumer PR Manager role, you will ideally have;

  • A third level qualification in PR, journalism or marketing.
  • At least 5 years of experience, ideally in consumer PR in a large company.
  • An understanding of a regulated environment, and how to develop effective PR campaigns to suit this type of environment.
  • A calm, considered disposition with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • An understanding of media in Ireland and how best to leverage your network.
  • Experience managing external agencies.
