Continuous Improvement Specialist

Our client is a leading multinational manufacturing organisation. They are seeking an experienced Lean professional to join their expanding team in their Galway facility. This is a brand new position which has been developed with an aim to drive efficiencies throughout the plant.

The Position

In your role as Continuous Improvement Specialist you will report into the Engineering Manager while working as part of team within manufacturing, quality and engineering team focusing on lean production systems (A3 – Scientific Problem Resolution, Organisation, Visual Management).

Working to utilise reduction management via deployment of Lean Tools and Principles using 5S, SMED, TPM, Standard Work etc. will be a key element of your role.

You will exert your ability to develop, maintain and review, while raising levels of awareness and lean competences throughout the organisation including lean training materials.

Coaching and mentoring lean principles and projects both directly and indirectly including cross functional personnel and occasionally external sites internationally wil also fall under your new remit.

The Person

The ideal Continuous Improvement Specialist will have at least 3+ years’ experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment and be degree qualified within Supply Chain or Engineering.

You will have experience of rolling out and embedding Continuous Improvement across an organisation including ability to coach and influence changes and developments along with experience and a qualification in delivering lean six sigma training and coaching on LSS tools.

A strong self-driven person who can energise the organisation by changing behaviours, can think and act lean and act accordingly to problem solve processes in a lean manner will thrive in this Continuous Improvement Specialist position.
