Finance Analyst – Group Reporting

Our client, a global leader and highly regarded Irish PLC, is looking to hire a Financial Analyst to join their growing business on a permanent basis. The Role

This highly visible Financial Analyst will be sitting in the Group Financial Consolidation and Reporting team and will be responsible for supporting the external Group Financial Reporting of the business. The role will offer international and cross-divisional exposure and requires an individual with a strong communication, engagement and business partnering approach. This permanent Senior Financial Analyst role will specifically be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Group financial reporting including the annual and interim processes, liaison with Divisional teams and external auditors
  • Assisting with preparing and reviewing the Group IFRS consolidated financial statements
  • Assisting with the preparation and audit of Annual Report
  • Assisting with the Group financial budgeting process
  • Assisting and supporting Divisional reporting entities on relevant reporting issues and local statutory financial reporting
  • Supporting the process and reporting business improvements, and any ad hoc projects as required
  • Liaising with auditors and with other external consultants

The Person

In order to be considered for this Senior Financial Analyst role, you will be a recently qualified accountant (ACA) from a “big 4” practice firm who is looking for their first steps into industry. Specific requirements for the successful candidate would include:

  • You will be a recently qualified accountant (ACA) within the last 12-18 months
  • You would have had exposure to group consolidations, having been a senior on a large multinational audit assignments
  • You will ideally have strong working knowledge of IFRS, US and Irish GAAP
  • You will have strong systems experience including intermediate/advanced excel
  • You will have excellent communications skills and evidence of co-ordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve results
  • You will demonstrate a solid analytical and problem solving ability
