Head of HR Analytics

My client is a renowned Irish financial institution who are experiencing an exciting period of organisational growth and transformation. In line with this, they wish to grow their team with the specific purpose of developing capability in HR Analytics and as part of this process, to appoint a Head of HR Analytics. This will enable them to develop a sustainable programme of values driven analytics and insights, ultimately maximising their continuous investment in people.

The Role

As this is a new role and the first in the organisation dedicated to people analytics, you, the successful Head of HR Analytics will partner with the Technology team to build the systems infrastructure required to collect and analyse HR data. From this you will offer insights to encourage action for the HR Community, Group Executive Committee and wider organisation.

Key responsibilities of your role will include:

  • Developing the value proposition around HR Analytics and be responsible for data governance and the design, delivery and reporting of HR data across the Group
  • Provide thought leadership on the complete cycle of talent analytics, from sourcing talent, performance management to managing attrition
  • Discovering how the use of Technology can influence Group wide people decisions
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of all HR initiatives including recruitment, on-boarding and induction, performance management metrics, reward analytics and the management of attrition and retention programmes
  • Supporting Group wide Talent and Leadership initiatives and forecasting for future talent needs of the organisation
  • Partnering with the HR Leadership Team and the Group Executive Committee and other functions to understand and deliver on their data requirements from standard reporting, workforce planning, to executive level analysis and recommendations
  • Partnering closely with IT to build the required HCM system, developed to reflect the business need and to collect, analyse and present highly accurate and relevant data and insights
  • Developing internal capability within the team to provide coaching and training on use and interpretation of data

The Person

The ideal Head of HR Analytics will:

  • Have a Master’s degree in Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
  • Have exceptional analytical skills and a mastery of business intelligence or related discipline
  • Be able to work autonomously and lead large scale projects in fast paced matrix organisations
  • Be comfortable operating at a very senior level and have the credibility to advise and challenge up to CEO level within the Group
  • Possess the ability to work across functions and enable teams to deliver strategic initiatives
