Head of Leadership & Talent

A leading Financial Services organisation with headquarters in Dublin are on journey of transformation and change and are looking for a thought leader in Talent and Leadership development to join their team. The successful candidate will work with the wider HR function to design, and develop and deliver a robust Talent strategy that will drive a fully engaged and high performing culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Leadership development programmes to ensure the capability of today’s leaders and the leaders of the future are fully realised and continuously enhanced
  • Develop roadmaps for line manager capability, engage with stakeholders to provide innovative solutions to include online resources for peer learning and mobile training
  • Accountability to build a centre of excellence where appropriate group wide leadership and Talent Programmes are designed and deployed to build bench strength and capability
  • Management of a team and engaging in organisation design and organisation effectiveness
  • Conduct individual leadership, career and talent assessments using a variety of innovative tools
  • Provide coaching and support to key leaders in the creation of robust development plans that meet succession and development needs
  • Form collaborative relationships with Human Resources leaders and Business Partners in order to execute talent strategies and efforts to support the growth/strategic objectives of the organisation
  • Research the latest developments in management, leadership and organisation development and keep abreast to serve as a subject matter expert and consultant to the organisation regarding critical people issues

The appointee will:

  • Hold a Masters degree in HR or Organisational Psychology, a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR and a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated Talent and Leadership role within a Blue Chip organisation structure
  • Possess strong programme management skills
  • Have excellent written, oral and positive influential interpersonal skills
  • Be able to effectively demonstrate capabilities as a Leadership Coach and Talent Director
  • Have strong business acumen and the ability to translate business strategy into organisation development plans
  • Be results-oriented and have a “hands-on” approach
  • Be an independent thinker, possessing strong organisational skills, with strong customer focus and orientation
  • Be highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Be a problem solver and be able to work independently and as part of a team
