Job description

We are working with a global medical device healthcare solutions company who are committed to improving lives through medical technologies, services, and solutions. They operate across 350 facilities in 150 countries, with an innovative portfolio of over 46,000 patents. They are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to participate in all areas including, line & audit support, equipment & fixturing support, and development, Gemba participation, participating in the completion of New Product Development and Operations related projects.

The Role

This exciting contract role where the successful candidate will be based onsite in Galway.

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Support the installation of new equipment, including troubleshooting and participating in resolving any issues found during equipment qualification and the design/development of tooling.
  • Collaborate as part of a cross functional team including such functions as Quality, Operations and Supply Chain
  • Participate in teams driving technology process innovation with emphasis on improving quality, reducing variation, and developing state of the art automated and semi-automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues that occur during day-to-day production and participate in teams to identify technical solutions via analysis and hands-on interaction with designated processes.
  • Compile, document and present all learnings to project and functional teams.
  • Provide leadership and work direction to other team members.

The Person

In order to be considered for this exciting, long term Manufacturing Engineer role, specific requirements for the successful candidate would include:

  • Bachelor's degree required - Engineering/Science/Biomedical, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience within medical devices in a similar role
  • Knowledge of medical device processes with a good understanding of product and process design.
