Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a global innovator organisation with core competencies in the fields of pharma, biotech, medical devices and diagnostics to name but a few. This organisation sets trends in research-intensive areas with their products and services designed to benefit people and improve their quality of life. Due to continued success and growth, a requirement for a Manufacturing Engineer on a 12 month fixed term contract has arisen at their state of the art facility in Cork.

The Position:

As a Manufacturing Engineer reporting into the Production Manager your primary function will be to support the Production Manager in the day to day running of the department through the management of KPI’s that measure operational performance and optimise processes. As part of your role you will also:

  • Report, present and action key departmental KPI’s
  • Manage production deviation systems, prepare and analyse deviation trends and implement corrective/preventative actions
  • Implement projects to improve production process/business process efficiencies, including projects to increase yield, reduce throughput times, improve process flows, reduce costs, eliminate waste and improve safety in conjunction with other departmental representatives
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within Manufacturing

The Person:

You will be 3rd level Degree qualified, preferably in Engineering with at least 1 year experience within a manufacturing environment or have excelled in a work placement as part of your studies.

The Benefits:
