Job description

This manufacturing solutions provider has experience providing comprehensive design, manufacturing, supply chain and product management services across a number of different industry sectors. With over 200,000 employees across 100 facilities worldwide, this ever-expanding organisation have an opening for a Quality Manager to join the team at their site in North Dublin.

The Role

Responsibilities of the Quality Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilising Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimisation specific to the customer
  • Recruiting, interviewing and hiring Quality Engineers, OBA (out of box audit) personnel and Quality Analyst resources
  • Establishing clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results
  • Driving individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organisational goals
  • Providing weekly/monthly communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department as required
  • Driving continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management
  • Identifying ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems)
  • Demonstrating a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority
  • Understanding and driving regulatory and compliance certifications as appropriate
  • Ensuring 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health and Safety, Quality)

The Person

The ideal candidate will have qualifications & experience in the following:

  • Degree in Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Supervisory role or similar
  • Strong networking skill, and ability to work cross-functionally across the site and the organisation globally
  • CMO experience would be beneficial
  • Lean Six Sigma would be beneficial
