Senior Finance Analyst

Our client is a global leader and highly regarded business within the pharmaceutical sector based out of Dublin. They are hugely progressive and fast growing in an exciting sector in the Irish market and are looking for a strong Senior Financial Analyst to join their business on a temporary to permanent basis to support their ongoing growth and progression.

The Role

This Senior Financial Analyst role will be sitting in the corporate global headquarters based in central Dublin, reporting to the Global Finance Manager, and will be responsible for enhancing business decision making through effective financial modelling, risk opportunity analysis, standard and ad hoc financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of FP&A on a variety of critical strategic and tactical initiatives within the finance area. This a is a cross-functional role dealing with value-chain activities, including the product supply, technical operations, and quality organisations and will require an individual with strong Finance Business partnering experience.

This exciting Senior Financial Analyst role will be working directly with business partners to provide various forms of financial analyses in support of business decision-making including:

  • Working directly with Supply organisation and other related business partners to provide various forms of financial analysis in support of business decision-making
  • Development of the manufacturing production plan (supply forecast); expense spending variance analysis (COGS and OPEX), interpreting financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions
  • Inputting data into transfer price models
  • Providing analysis and decision support for initiatives as they arise
  • Involvement in the consolidation, coordination, and analysis of the Annual Budget and quarterly forecasting process including clear, concise financial analysis and management presentation preparation
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new analytical and reporting templates
  • Identifying future FP&A needs and ensuring that these demands are incorporated into the systems
  • Coordinating the consolidation and analysis of monthly financial results for the management review, which includes standard and ad hoc analysis
  • Developing necessary policies, procedures and training material to support new Financial modelling process designs
  • Liaising with Tax, Intercompany, Legal and Supply Chain to understand and document all relevant information for Ventures managed products
  • Managing and recording transfer pricing and intercompany transactions associated with the value chain flow
  • Maintaining Financial Supply Chain Maps, TP Methods, and Inventory of Transactions
  • Coordinating with corporate controllers to ensure proper group/consolidated recording and reporting of value chain transactions
  • Supporting the development of the monthly and annual financial planning and forecasting activities for departmental budgets and projects
  • Developing and maintaining trusted relationship with business partners, while providing thoughtful and candid insights into key business matters

The Person

In order to be considered for this progressive Senior Financial Analyst role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 3-4 years of Finance Business Partnering experience from within a leading multinational.

Specific requirements for the successful candidate would include:

  • You will be qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have approx. 3-4 years’ specific experience focussed on business partnering across multiple geographical regions
  • You will have advanced Excel including financial modelling experience
  • You will have exposure of a strong working knowledge of transfer pricing
  • You will ideally have Project Management experience supporting or driving financial initiatives
  • You would ideally have a depth of experience from within the pharmaceutical, medical devices or FMCG sector
  • Experience in financial reporting and in particular sound working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advance working knowledge of SAP or one of the other mainstream ERP systems
  • You will have excellent communications skills and evidence of co-ordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve results
