Bids Manager

The Position

Manage bids and pitches of all types from major panel reviews to one-off bids, to deliver new strategic business generation. The role will provide pitch documents to the highest international standard, across a broad range of legal practice areas.

  • Identifying and tracking opportunities to pitch
  • Advice on pitch strategy, including determining and challenging decisions to pitch or not
  • Document production including developing key messages and writing content
  • Project manage end to end process
  • Engaging with a range of Partners, the BD&M team and other areas throughout the Firm to obtain required
  • Consider varying pricing models and when to use them
  • Contribute to new projects, systems, software and processes to make pitching and tendering more efficient and effective
  • Coaching and preparation of pitch teams
  • Conducting post tender feedback meetings

The Person

  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
  • Project management, people management and organisation skills
  • IT Skills – e.g. MS Office suite, Sharepoint and Visio
  • Ability to establish credibility, effectively engage with and influence diverse teams of senior individuals
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure to a high standard
  • Commercial focus and acumen
  • Knowledge and understanding of the provision of professional services ideally corporate legal services
