Finance Supply Chain Supervisor – Cork

A leading top ten Forbes organisation is seeking a Finance Supply Chain Supervisor to manage a team of 4 experienced accounting technicians. This is an organisation that continues to grow its footprint both globally and in Cork and provides tangible career opportunities.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Service Director in Cork, key areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting all inter-company accounting activities throughout the group
  • Ensuring all day to day activities are undertaken with accuracy and efficiency
  • Managing all points of escalation mindful of impact to business globally
  • Managing Inventory Order Tracking activity ensuring appropriate entries are made in SAP
  • Supporting the Finance team with monthly financial accounts submissions
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations, preparation and submission
  • Managing inter company accounts payable and accounts receivable activity for inventory movement
  • The recruitment, retention, motivation and development of the team
  • Supporting automation projects

The Person

Key experience and competencies include:

  • 5 years’ experience working in shared services or multi-national environment
  • Strong people leader with previous experience in developing a team
  • Strong understanding of accounting, though a qualified accountant is not required
  • Strong systems experience including ERP, ideally SAP
  • Proven record of introducing and developing process improvement and efficiency
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and navigates with ease in a matrix-ed organisation
  • Thrives in a changing landscape, working best under ambiguity
  • Displays excellent judgement and the wider implication of decision making
  • Communicates at ease across all levels of an organisation and influences with credibility
  • Works in a collaborative manner at all times whilst ensuring day to day activities are achieved
