My client, an Irish owned entrepreneurial company with operations in Europe are seeking an ambitious, focused Part Qualified/Assistant Accountant to join their organisation immediately, on a 6-month fixed term contract.

This company have grown at a significant rate and continue to, they are fast paced in their approach. They are seeking an individual from a fast moving, results focused organisation.

To be considered for this role, along with Accounts Payable knowledge you must also have experience with VAT/VIES in more than one country.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciling orders, deliveries, and purchase invoices.
• Preparation of payment runs and payments for approval.
• Supplier statement reconciliation.
• Processing of monthly staff expenses.
• Preparing month end bank reconciliations.
• Liaising with management and suppliers to resolve supplier queries.
• Support the annual audit process.
• Sending invoices and provide backup support to customers as and when required.
• Issue month end statements to customers.
• Preparation and submission of the VAT returns and Intrastat declarations (Ireland, UK, Italy, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain).
• Manage and administer other statutory returns - VIES, RTD, P46.
• Reconciliations between VAT and the GL.
• Maintain timeline and ensure timely reporting and submission of returns and refund requests.
• Assist in the development of the VAT submission process, including improving its efficiencies (SAP new master data.

To be considered:

• Part qualified/Assistant Accountant with 3 to 5 years' industry experience.
• Experience with SAP
• VAT/VIES experience essential.
• Multinational experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong Word, PowerPoint skills.

Salary: Up to €45,000 depending on experience.
