Our client is a global life sciences organisation based in Cork with a broad product portfolio who are looking to add an Internal Sales Specialist to their team with the view to becoming a field sales person within 1 year. This position offers the opportunity of remote working also with occasional travel required.
As Internal Sales specialist, your responsibilities will vary from pipeline management, lead identification and qualification, proactive sales calling and performance monitoring.
You will play an integral role in the development of new business but also the repeat business generated from existing accounts through regular calls and occasional face to face meetings with customers/prospective customers.
In this position, you will develop strong relationships with existing customers but also new customers, building your reputation in the industry and open up for new business opportunities.
Through your activities, you will build a deep understanding of the market/industry including trends, competitor activity and market developments.
In the internal sales specialist position, you will monitor performance against a pre-defined plan for your area and manage & report on opportunity pipeline to provide business forecasts on sales and orders.
To be successful as an Internal Sales Specialist, you must have a scientific qualification or life science industry experience.
You may have sales experience in a similar industry, but this is not a requirement for the position as full training will be provided.
Having experience working in a laboratory or possessing technical knowledge is hugely beneficial.
An ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own and being self-motivated is essential for this position.
Strong interpersonal skills but also good numerical skills with an ability to interpret reports.
