Job description
Our client is a Global Pharmaceutical Organisation with multiple locations here in Ireland. Due to an increase in on-going projects, they require an IT Project Engineer to join the team on a 12-month contract on their Grange Castle site.
The Role
- Deploying & troubleshooting field computing equipment on the local LAN to support IT/OT applications rollouts.
- Assisting network SME's with network equipment deployment including switches, WAP's, and firewalls.
- Provide support for the set-up of laboratory and plant equipment on the local LAN, including networking of the equipment and integration of the equipment to external software applications.
- Provide IT support for GxP Computerised Systems Risk Assessments.
- Provide assistance with testing of the data & network components of IT/OT application deployments (e.g. LIMS, MES, Historian, SAP).
- Provide routine structured reports to management on work status, and escalate issues as required through strong communication skills.
- Perform as part of IT Project delivery team for expansion of manufacturing site.
- Develops and maintains IT documentation according to Quality Management System (QMS) standards, policies and procedures.
- Establishes relationships with colleagues and vendors and is influential in technical support of project DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise.
The Person
- Strong documentation skills, both GxP and Business documents.
- Good understanding of IT networking and associated equipment.
- Experienced server and network engineer with relevant application experience.
- Associate Degree or equivalent and VMWare, Citrix, Cisco, Microsoft certification.
- 5 -10 years relevant experience.
- MES, LIMS, CDS, Historian, ERP application relevant experience/training Interaction.
- Fundamental level of understanding of GxP systems good practices (including project & validation processes), data integrity guidances, and computerised systems regulations.
- Experience working with project management and agile methodologies.
