Laboratory Systems Analyst

With more than 1,400 high quality generic, branded and over-the-counter products, they cover virtually every dosage form and therapeutic category, from cardiovascular, osteoporosis and gastrointestinal diseases, to central nervous system, antihistamines, diabetes and antibacterial. The company’s most recent Irish expansion outlined an annual investment of up to €76 million ($100 million). Due to this continued growth of the company in Ireland, a role has arisen for a Laboratory Systems Analyst to be based in their state of the art facility in the West of Ireland.

The Role

The Laboratory Systems Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Providing administration, implementation and maintenance of services with a focus on LabWare LIMS, Empower CDS and standalone laboratory systems
  • Supporting administration of site laboratory systems, including hardware/software set up and configuration, master data configuration, user access management
  • Maintaining compliance of laboratory systems with all established corporate/site IT and software policies and procedures
  • Supporting computerised system validation activities for laboratory systems
  • Authoring SOPs, system reference guides, for administrative functions of laboratory systems
  • Being a point of contact for laboratory systems issue resolution for end-users within the Galway sites
  • Providing LIMS and Empower training for end-users within the Galway sites
  • Initiating and managing all relevant change controls required at all stages of the project and operational life of each system
  • Performing review of system audit trails/event logs/message centre records and communicate findings that may impact data integrity
  • Reporting and managing all incidents related to laboratory systems in accordance to Site Incident management procedure and develop and implement efficient CAPAs

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or Computer Science
  • Minimum 2 years’ QC laboratory experience in GMP/GLP regulated facility with HPLC or GC and CDS systems
  • Experience in using/controlling laboratory data through electronic systems within Pharmaceutical/Medical Devices industry
  • Waters Empower Administrator certification an advantage
  • LabWare systems Administration an advantage but detailed training will be provided in Mylan Corporate LabWare systems
  • Experience of electronic Quality systems such as Trackwise and Documentum would be a distinct advantage
