Project Engineer

This leading healthcare organisation provides solutions in vision care to a truly global market, with operations and sales affiliates in over 40 countries, providing product availability to more than 100 regions. Recently, this business has announced expansions in their site, in the South East of Ireland, to cope with growing demand for their products. Once complete the headcount at the site will increase by 200 employees. With this expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join the organisation on a 12 month fixed term contract to oversee the installation and validation of water and chiller systems.

The Role

As a Project Engineer your role will be to lead the planning, implementation and validation of engineering tasks and projects, mainly the installation of purified water and chiller systems. In addition you will;

  • Oversee and steer all parts of a project life cycle from planning through to validation
  • Create validation protocols and such as URS/IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Update system drawings and SOPs
  • Coordinate and interact with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure project tasks are successfully complete

The Person

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in the medical device/pharma industry sector. A BEng in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline is required.
Along with this the Project Engineer will demonstrate experience in the installation of chillers/purified water systems as well as exposure to managing projects within a change control system.
