Purchase Order Co-Ordinator

Our client, one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies, is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable candidate to support their growing business on an initial interim contract. Through acquisitions and mergers, this company has expanded rapidly in their short history and now boast more than 20,000 employees, and offices in more than 40 countries. This innovative organisation has recently expanded its Irish operation and now requires an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team on an eleven-month contract.

The Role

This Accounts Payable Contractor role will be sitting in the EMEA head office and will be responsible for ensuring that purchase invoices and payment requests are recorded accurately, and payments are made on a timely basis. The role is intended to be a long-term interim position and will have potential to develop into a longer-term opportunity within the business for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Provide coordination and support for financial management in multi-country environment ensuring adequate controls in place to minimise financial risk to the Company
  • Execute and co-ordinate with regional teams the purchase to pay process
  • Ensure creation of Purchase Orders
  • Execute the Requisition and the check requests with correct data and information
  • Ensure timely closing of purchase orders
  • Resolve inquiries from the business in a timely manner
  • Act as liaison with end users and technical support teams
  • Act within a project as a team member or lead small to medium projects

The Person

In order to be considered for this Accounts Payable Contractor role, you will have 1-2 years’ experience within Accounts Payable.

Specific requirements for the successful candidate would include:

  • You will need to have 1-2 years accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a matrix team with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teams and across organisations and geographies
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced level data analysis, excel and complex reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills in order to work across regional remote teams and markets
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
