Quality Engineer III

This multinational medical device organisation are a global leader in the development of deliverable devices for some of the largest pharmaceutical and primary healthcare organisations worldwide. With over 40 years of experience within the medical devices and diagnostics industry sectors, their high-quality products enable the world’s leading pharmaceutical brands to achieve their market potential. The organisation employs approximately 1000 individuals throughout the world and are growing rapidly within this highly expanding industry sector. Their broad customer portfolio is key to their success and this is reflected in the huge variety of products developed on site, ranging from consumable and instrumental diagnostics to pharmaceutical delivery systems. Due to continued expansion the company are looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to their team.

The Position:

As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for implementing quality plans, programs and procedures by utilising your experience with quality control statistics, analyses and lean manufacturing concepts. Additional responsibilities will include;

  • Ensuring the product quality and performance is in line with the standards set by the company and regulatory bodies, as well as the standards demanded by their customers.
  • Auditing quality systems to identify and correct any deficiencies.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and recommend corrective action for any discrepancies that arise.

The Person:

The incumbent Quality Engineer will have a BSc in Science/Engineering or an equivalent discipline, along with 4-6 years experience in a similar Quality position. An in-depth understanding of ISO 13485 standards and Quality Management Systems are also required.

Excellent leadership and management skills are essential criteria for this role. Along with this experience in automated assembly solution and cleanroom manufacturing experience are preferable.
