Our client is an innovative and market leading FMCG company based in Louth. With a strong portfolio of own and private label brands, my client has seen significant growth in their operations in the last few years. They are currently expanding their supply chain team, and as such have a Supply Chain & Purchasing Planner vacancy.
A brand-new position in the organisation, the Supply Chain & Purchasing Planner will support the Supply Chain Manager in growing my client’s global supplier base for critical raw materials. Given the niche in the market that my client occupies, this will be an interesting role, liaising and negotiating with suppliers across a range of commodities.
As Supply Chain & Purchasing Planner, you will not only responsible for managing supplier relationships, but also ensuring smooth and efficient transfer of materials from suppliers to the Irish manufacturing site. This will require accurate demand planning and forecasting in line with manufacturing schedules, along with a certain level of inventory management.
The ideal Supply Chain & Purchasing Planner will have 4+ years’ experience in a Supply Chain Planning and Purchasing role within the FMCG sector. Proven experience in sourcing suppliers, leading negotiations and putting in place long-term contracts is necessary. A Bachelor’s degree is ideal, and an additional qualification in APICS, CIPS or IIPMM would be an advantage.
This is a permanent role, that offers you the opportunity to be a key member of a growing Supply Chain team. This would be the perfect opportunity for someone looking to a more autonomous and critical decision-making role.
