Trade and Customs Project Manager

Our client is one of the fastest growing Global Pharmaceutical companies in the market currently. The company has a strong portfolio of products across Oncology, Pain Management, Anti-Infectives and Cardiovascular. They have multiple manufacturing sites in Ireland along with a Global Supply Hub with global revenues in excess of $9billion.

The Role

As my client expands their operations, they are looking for a Global Trade & Customs Manager to join their operations on a permanent basis. The role reports to the Global Trade & Customs Director and will be based at Global Supply Hub in Dublin.

The successful candidate will responsible for:

  • Assist with governance and auditing with regard to global trade and customs.
  • Support legal entities with queries regarding classification, origin and valuation.
  • Work closely with the Global Compliance Org to ensure alignment in key areas.
  • Drive global change management programmes and reengineering trade and customs activities including implementing new processes, systems, tools/technologies, metrics and improved organizational alignment.
  • Engage with and develop strategic customs brokers globally, developing and implementing processes and systems to support customs activities.
  • Maintain a list of the Global Strategic Customs Brokers and identify areas in which numbers can be reduced.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Proven project management experience is a must. Successful candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, whilst a Project Management qualification would be an advantage. Pharmaceutical experience is ideal but not essential. SAP experience is a must have.
