HR Manager

This Irish based company, one of Europe’s leading food innovators, are seeking to hire a HR Manager. This position is based within their busy manufacturing facility in Cork, employing over 650 staff. This HR Manager position has arisen due to the promotion of the current HR Manager to Divisional HR Manager, who this role will be reporting into. This busy and challenging role represents an exciting opportunity for a talented HR professional, giving them exposure to all aspects of HR management.

The Role:

The HR Manager will be responsible for the delivery of daily HR operations and ongoing projects and processes. This is a stand-alone position with a HR Administrator reporting in to the HR manager providing support. Areas that will come under the HR Manager’s remit will include employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection and talent management.

As the new HR Manager, you will also:

  • Liaise with the Operations Managers on policy and strategy development and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Support, assist and advise managers and supervisors on all aspects of the HR remit including disciplinary, grievance and bullying and arassment procedures amongst others.
  • Assist new employees in areas such as social security, banking, and immigration while effectively managing the induction and on-boarding process.

The Person:

The ideal HR Manager will have experience in the field of HR and people management within manufacturing, retail or services. They will also be degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR position and preferably a CIPD qualification. (An individual possessing a Law Degree or with a legal background may also be suitable for this position.)

  • Have strong analytical, problem solving and attention to detail skills.
  • Be flexible and adaptable with experience working in a fast paced, complex business environment.
  • Have the ability to create relationships and be confident when dealing with employees at all levels within the organisation.
