Shane heads up HRM’s Science & Engineering practices and specialises in senior end technical hires, predominantly into the Pharmaceutical, Bio-pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Diagnostic, Food, Beverage, and related industry sectors from Director through to Vice President level including technical C-suite search across both SMEs and multinationals within the Irish and European markets.
Originally a Microbiologist by qualification and by experience, Shane’s deep knowledge and experience in the Life Sciences sector has given our customers an extensive technical insight into both the marketplace and the difficulties and solutions into hiring some of the markets most challenging intricate positions.
Shane’s industry network spans the Irish, UK, and international markets and has deep technical knowledge within a broad array of technical positions including Quality, Technical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, R&D and Engineering functions to name but a few as well as having deep senior interim solutions experience.
Experience:With over 15 years’ experience in business leadership and senior level recruitment, having started his career in HRM Search Partners in 2007, Shane has been an integral part of the HRM leadership team and has since worked with a multitude of high-profile organisations supporting them with cross-border executive appointments, interim solutions, and advisory services. Shane is a member of HRM’s senior leadership team.
Education / Awards: Shane holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialisation in Industrial Microbiology (honors) from University College Dublin, along with a Diploma in General management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University as part of the MBA Programme.
