Job description
Highly successful cybersecurity organisation, employing 5000+ employees and operating internationally. This organisation seeks a Benefits Specialist to join their HR function, to support the EMEA remit during a time of growth. This is a day rate contract for initially 6 months with the possibility of extension.
The Role
- Administer different regional benefits programs, which include Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, other benefit plans or accounts, commuter benefits and retirement plans.
- Be the main contact for benefit administration activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
- Stay up to date with broader market benefit trends and make recommendations for benefit offering changes to the Benefits leader.
- Be the primary contact for several benefit issues such as plan provisions, policy interpretation, procedures, coverage, enrollment eligibility, family status changes, claims, claims appeals procedures, and other benefit matters.
- Help with online benefits administration and employee self-service sites. Assume primary responsibility for ongoing use of the site's features and procedures including eligibility management, enrollment management, billing, reporting, and maintenance.
- Audit and process monthly vendor billing.
- Administer retirement or pension plan, communicate with payroll team, conduct annual non-discrimination testing, process over payments (if needed) as a result of non-discrimination test results, manage the annual audit, and all related communications.
- Perform audits to verify integrity of data in Benefits system to match data stored in the People Tools system.
- Manage a repository of benefit policies, plan documents, forms, and carrier information.
- Partner with benefits broker to resolve customer/vendor issues.
- Be a primary contact with benefit vendors regarding ongoing plan administration. Ensure that vendor processes are in place and working properly.
- Coordinate the preparation of employee communications.
- Maintain the employee benefit files in accordance with internal policies and procedures and with appropriate requirements.
- Establish familiarity with provisions of existing and new country laws to help determine impact on benefit plans and ensure compliance.
- Evaluate and advise on internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.
- Monitor Benefits System to ensure changes are sent to vendors. Ensure that file feeds are set up and going over correctly.
- Manage wellness events and research new practices and trends in employee benefits and wellness.
- Manage all leaves and time off plans, processes and payments.
The Person
- Proven professional experience in Benefits Administration and managing and resolving complex Benefit issues.
- Strong data analysis skills: the ability to extract and summarize data to make data-backed business decisions.
- Proficient in HRIS tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective interpersonal skills necessary to advise, counsel, recommend and approve actions on a variety of benefits issues.
