Job description

Our client is a global pharmaceutical organisation with two sites in Dublin and 800 staff who are seeking to appoint a Communications Lead on an 18 month contract. This is a stand-alone position, therefore there is a need for previous experience in developing communication strategies, both internal and external.

The Role

The Communications Lead will develop and implement effective communications strategies, both internally and externally focused, and challenge existing structures. In addition you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of internal employee communication initiatives, play a key role in building employee engagement through newsletters, surveys and other communications channels, working closely with the HR team.
  • Be responsible for presenting and moderating at various local employee communications & events, developing innovative communications strategies for these initiatives.
  • As part of the external communications side of this position, you will be responsible for developing strong employer brand awareness in the wider talent marketplace through social channels as well as other channels.

Being a stand-alone position, any communications related queries that develop will be resolved by the Communications lead.

The Person

Candidates should be degree qualified in a related field with previous experience in a similar position, with experience in developing communications strategies.

Previous experience in employee engagement and employer branding is desired as well as strong skills in targeted content campaigns.

Your written and verbal communications skills are excellent, you have an ability to manage multiple projects and are comfortable working in a matrix like structure.

You will have excellent influencing and leadership skills also.
