Job description

A leading global pharmaceutical organisation are expanding their Irish based operations and requires a Project Coordinator to oversee the progress of a business-critical retrofit and site expansion in Tipperary. The company employs over 3,000 staff in Ireland across five manufacturing sites and also has facilities in France, Spain, Belgium, Austria and Germany.

This is initially a 12-month contract with the option for further work thereafter.

The Position

As a key member of the Engineering Project Team, you will report to the Head of Projects and oversight progress aligning with six PM's across six key areas. This is a complex and challenging role requiring a skilled professional with exceptional communication and influencing skills.

You will work closely with key consultants within the business to support the delivery of this program of works from concept design through to installation, overseeing project scheduling, budget management and ensuring all teams are fully resourced.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leading consultants onsite and overseeing vendor delivery against targeted objectives.
  • Monitor progress and performance against targeted metrics.
  • Support the resolution of cross-functional issues to reduce any impact on work schedules.
  • Manage project costings, scope of works, scheduling and change controls as required.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver against project milestones and key objectives.

The Person

  • Third level degree qualified in a technical discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years working in a GMP environment.
  • Experience managing sub-project teams from the design stage through to commissioning and validation.
  • Project management certification is desirable.
  • Be collaborative in your approach to work and be an effective communicator.
  • Engage cross-functionally to deliver on key project milestones in conjunction with the Team.
  • Thorough understanding of quality compliance operating standards.
  • Autonomous and a self-starter.
