Job description

Our client, a transport infrastructure organisation seek to hire a Financial Analyst to support a short-term project for approx. 4-6 months.

The Role

To support the Financial Analyst in all aspects relating to the monitoring of financial/commercial aspects of operational PPP projects. This role will also involve the management and implementation of governance, risk and compliance policies and procedures relating to PPPs. Where required, the role will also support the procurement of any new PPP arrangements to which it is a party, in furtherance of it's statutory mandate.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring of financial/commercial aspects of operational PPP projects.
  • Implementation of governance, risk, and compliance policies and procedures relating to PPPs.
  • Compiling data for Department of Finance, Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, and Department of Transport regarding PPP programme/schemes.
  • On-going financial review of PPP consortia during operations phase and monitoring of the commercial aspects of PPP contracts.
  • Analysis of monthly reports and reconciliation of payments payable to PPP companies and payments receivable from PPP companies, as provided for in PPP contracts.
  • Preparing periodic internal estimates and reviews of organisation financial flows related to PPP income/expenditure, and reporting to various stakeholders (State bodies, auditors, elected representatives and members of the public).
  • Undertaking such tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned appropriate to the grade.

The Person

  • Experience of financial management and financial modelling is essential.
  • A HETAC Level 8 degree in finance, economics, business, or a professional qualification in accountancy or other equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Appropriate post graduate experience in work with responsibility for oversight of financial/commercial aspects of projects or operations.
  • Highly motivated with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Effective relationship management ability.
  • Fluency in the English language, both written and oral.
