Job description
Our client is a unique and well-known organisation with a large headcount and best in class HR function, that is currently seeking an Interim HR Business Partner to lead a team, as well as manage all Employee Relations and Industrial Relations activity for the organisation. As the new Interim HR Business Partner, you will work effectively with all stakeholders in the organisation and operate in line with best practice HR approaches and structures.
The Role
- Management and control of the Employee Relations function and managing all ER issues effectively, timely, and accurately.
- Providing insights and learnings to the HR team and lead through example on all areas of HR.
- Liaising with union representatives when required and understanding the third-party relationship management.
- Partnering with other members of the HR function in a proactive manner and ensuring buy in and support from colleagues and other departments in relation to new HR programmes and projects.
- Involvement in all HR activity when required, for example, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, HR systems and other ad hoc HR projects.
- Understand the nuances that exists within various areas of the organisation and act with discretion, loyalty and strong work ethic.
The Person
You will be a qualified HR professional with a third level degree and CIPD qualification. Ideally, you will have led and managed Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters and have a strong understanding of employment legislation. Exposure to dealing with unions is preferred but not essential. Excellent organisational skills, communication skills, and influencing skills are very important to ensure success in the role. A strong understanding of all HR activities is required in order to make recommendations and understand the landscape within a complex organisation. Showcasing commercial awareness and understanding is important as well as being results and solutions focused.
