Job description

A position has arisen for a Product Regulatory Officer to join the Quality team on site.

The Role

Responsibilities of the Product Regulatory Officer include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring food product details captured are technically correct and that the product information displayed online or directly to customers on all products is accurate
  • Aligning company policies to the Food Information Regulator (FIR), ensuring that customer/market needs and industry standards are met, including labelling
  • Managing the development of the PRD with the IT team to ensure it holds data in a format that meets regulatory requirements
  • Liaising with suppliers, to ensure all relevant FIR product information is captured on the company product database
  • New Line Listing Process
  • Supporting the On-line Trading Executive with queries on FIR compliance
  • Providing Trading Manager(s) with timely review of compliance requests (e.g. label checks) to ensure compliance to Food Information Regulatory requirements
  • Acting as labelling expert for the team

The Person

The ideal candidate will have qualifications & experience in the following:

  • Food Science / Food Technology Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience in a food technical role
  • Understanding of Product Specifications requirements
  • Good knowledge of Labelling regulations
  • Proficient use of MS Office tools including Power Point, Words and Excel
  • Previous Experience of Spec Management Software packages
