Job description

We are working with a global medical device healthcare solutions company who are committed to improving lives through medical technologies, services, and solutions. They operate across 350 facilities in 150 countries, with an innovative portfolio of over 46,000 patents. They are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join a large team in product re-design where they will manage projects in compliance, quality and product modifications.

The Role

  • Lead cross-functional project teams on key R&D Sustaining projects
  • Develop and execute project plans including schedules, budgets, resources, and scope
  • Define project resource requirements and negotiate team assignments with the team and functional managers
  • Plan, coordinate and track project activities
  • Management of project budget and oversight of capital expenditures
  • Develop and monitor risk mitigations plans to ensure business and project objectives are met
  • Support outside contract/supply agreement contract development and supplier management
  • Challenge functional groups to meet project goals and commitments
  • Provide routine project status communications to project teams, management, and senior executives
  • Utilize coaching and facilitating skills with program shareholders to ensure proper project management protocols are employed and best practices utilized

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree required - Engineering, preferrably electrcial, mechanical or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within medical devices in a similar role
  • Track record of managing projects to schedule
