Job description

As the largest provider of industrial, medical, and special gases in the UK and Ireland, this organisation has a network of major production facilities, distribution centres and retail stores, supplying compressed, bulk and pipeline gases, chemicals, engineering solutions and associated equipment to an enormous range of industries. Due to team expansions, a requirement has arisen for a Project Engineer. While primarily Dublin based, this contract role offers a high degree of flexible hybrid working.

The Position:

  • Design, price and tender project installations and quote customers accordingly.
  • Design, price, and tender industrial and medical pipeline installations.
  • Complete all necessary drawings using prevailing e-drafting packages e.g. AutoCAD.
  • Deliver assigned projects on time, in budget and to the expected standard of quality
  • Procure the equipment and materials as required.
  • Manage assigned projects fully in line with the prevailing standards and procedures.
  • Ensure the work under your control is carried out is up to the required standard (EIGA, BCGA, HTM02 etc.) using auditing tools, WAM etc.
  • Provide support to the CES Service Engineer Team and direct to Customers as required.
  • Provide customer support both directly and indirectly through account managers including reporting, incident investigation and business improvement initiatives.

The Person:

  • Relevant experience in a project engineering role, ideally with package equipment and pipework installation, at least some of which should be on the pharma/biomedical/biopharma sectors.
  • A background in mechanical and or process engineering e.g. trade qualified with supervisory experience in pipe fitting/mechanical HVAC or similar, looking to step into a more project engineering focussed role.
  • Project management and execution skills to ensure delivery against key targets and timeframes.
  • Technical competence in cryogenics, pressure systems and medical gases
  • Capacity to prioritise customer and operational demands, manage trade-offs effectively and balance workload.
