A leading med-tech business is expanding its R&D team based in Limerick. The R&D dept sits between Ireland and the US and the group works very collaboratively to drive design solutions for each product. The business was founded on inventing products that respond to the needs of healthcare professionals. This role will sit within a team of approximately 30 professionals within the endoscopy dept which ensures the work is varied and interesting.

The Position

• Support many key products in various development phases - early concept & feasibility through to prototyping, test-method development and launch.
• You will have the opportunity to work on innovative products alongside some design iterations of existing commercial devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
• Drive product development through all design phase gates.
• Participate in product testing, validation, and verification activities.
• Generate and maintain detailed documentation of design and development activities in line with regulatory standards.

The Person

• Applicants must have a 3rd level Degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering.
• Approximately 5 years experience working within the Medical Device industry.
• Excellent communication skills are required to work with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Be collaborative and proactive in your approach to work.
