Job description

A multinational pharmaceutical giant, are seeking an experienced Associate Director Quality Assurance to join a well-established and high-performing team, based at their manufacturing site in North Dublin.

The central purpose of this role will be to act as head of QA, to be the key decision maker and to delegate for the Director. There is a clear succession plan in place for this role to progress to Director level.

The Role

Duties and responsibilities of the Associate Director Quality Assurance will include:

  • Provide compliance leadership across the site ensuring the site operates to the applicable cGMP and international standards for our customers on a daily basis
  • Use scientific judgment and risk analysis to develop solutions and mitigation strategies as the business requires
  • Maintain the very strong compliance reputation gained by the site through multiple PAI and GMP inspections interfacing directly with regulatory authorities and customer auditors;
  • Support the effective transfer of NPIs in collaboration with the site cross functional and customer teams;
  • Mentor and coach the quality assurance team to ensure batch release, product performance, product quality reviews and other cGMP documentation are completed to the required standards;
  • Ensure appropriate and efficient systems are in place for investigation quality issues
  • Drive the development and implementation of new techniques, systems and initiatives to enhance the quality system on site

The Person

You will have skills and experience in the following to be considered:

  • Degree qualified with 10+ years relevant industry experience in quality
  • 5+ years managerial / leadership experience and skills
  • Experience working at a manufacturing site
  • Strong decision maker
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Strong influencer
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem solving
