Our client is an international market leading beverage brand with a strong presence in Ireland are seeking to hire a Category Development Manager to join their team in Dublin.
In this position, you will utilize knowledge of customer and Category Management to facilitate the customer business planning process and lead that dialogue with the National Accounts team and Retailers.
You'll strategically develop customer Category Management business plans that integrate with the customers overall business goals and implement category development programs by leading the dialogue with the retail customer to focus on category growth opportunities
You will utilize and understand Nielsen, Talysis, EYC, IRI and market demographic data, customer point-of-sale and loyalty data and systems used to generate the information for category reviews & internal presentations.
Using this data, you will turn insights into actions for the sales teams by identifying key opportunities for the brand while also providing insights of Sales, pricing and merchandising effectiveness.
As Category Development Manager, you will provide leading solutions across SKU optimisation, merchandising strategies, shelf positions (strike zone & FSI), Space planning solutions and shopper insights & recommendations.
You have strong experience in a similar position with strong knowledge of Nielsen/Dunnhumby/Talysis data. Experience in either Agency or in-house is desired.
You will be familiar with planogram software e.g. Spaceman and have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
This position is suited to someone who possesses both a strong passion for data but also has a commercial mindset and comfortable in managing relationships with retailers.
You will have excellent presentation and communications skills.
