Job description

Our client, an FMCG organisation who produce of some of the world's most popular consumer goods, are currently recruiting for an innovative and driven Co-Packer Quality Leader to join the Quality function. Since 2012, the organisation have invested over €250 million to double their production capacity to meet global demand for their products.

The Role

Responsibilities of the Co-Packer Quality Leader will include:

  • Ensuring Co-Packers compliance with all QEHS legislation, procedures and standards in the workplace
  • To integrate and streamline Co-Packer Quality reporting systems and KPI's to that of the company
  • Provides oversight for the execution of the quality program including HACCP, internal quality audits, and hygiene programs
  • Lead Auditor for all company & Co-Packer manufacturing sites
  • Carrying out weekly audits of Cased Goods at warehouse or at a Co-Packer site for investigation of Non- conformances of wet goods, dry goods & finished goods
  • Maintenance and update of CPQ Manuals, quality documentation, work instructions etc to standards for each co-packer site. Identifying gaps in current documentation and updating accordingly
  • Support Central Laboratory for quality management of all products
  • Trained Sensory Analyst

The Person

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following:

  • BSc in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or similar
  • 5+ years relevant experience in food manufacturing (beverage/liquid experience would be beneficial)
  • Excellent knowledge of Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental & Food Safety standards
  • Certified lead auditor - desirable
  • Excellent process improvement and problem-solving skills
  • Full, clean driving license is essential
  • Flexible working hours & availability to travel nationally & internationally is a requirement
