Job description

Our client is a world leading FMCG company with a presence in over 80 countries worldwide. Due to continued growth they are seeking to hire a Demand Planner. This Demand Planning position is responsible for global forecasting activities associated with customers and products.

The Role:

As Demand Planner, you will create and maintain forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysis, and other market intelligence. The Demand Planner is the integration point into Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing and Finance regarding sales forecasting for the Global Business. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering insights and providing expertise on historical as well as market trends and customer behaviours to increase forecast accuracy
  • Working closely with Sales to deliver key insights based on data analysis of historical/market trends and customer behaviour
  • Leading quarterly brand planning meetings to agree the best medium- and long-term supply and production plan
  • Completing post promotional analysis for key customers and implementing learnings into the business

The Person:

  • You should be degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years' demand planning experience
  • You will need to have strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • For this role, you will need strong presentation skills
  • You should possess high numerate and computer literacy skills
  • SAP experience is a distinct advantage
  • Strong Planning and organisational skills
