My client, a multi-national Medical device organisation are looking for an Embedded Software Design Engineer to join their Dublin based operation on a permanent basis. The right candidate will have 7+ years, working with C# and/or C++ languages in a Medical Device or Electronic-manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be part of a team that develops ground-breaking medical and biotechnology services and devices for global demand.
As an Embedded Software Design Engineer, you will lead the Software subsystems of connected drug infusion platforms and beyond. The right person will hold a critical position in the team, being responsible for providing software design, implementation, and testing of embedded software for medical devices to enable pharmaceutical drug delivery and connected health capabilities. Working closely with the product leadership and a multidisciplinary product development team, your job will include areas of:

Responsibilities
*Perform Architectural design of high-level product concepts
*Perform software design based on design inputs, characteristics of the existing software base
*Perform software implementation looking at coding guidelines
*Conduct software evaluation and testing of own software
*Provide test plans for engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
*Provide technical documentation for the design, implementation, and testing of software

Requirements
*Strong skills in C/C++ and software design
*Ability to analyse software written in Assembly language
*Experience in device driver development on microcontrollers
*Strong knowledge in the software-hardware interface and digital electronic logics
*8-10+ years' experience in embedded software experience
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent, related post graduate degree an advantage.
