Job description

Our client, a global leader in the Food Manufacturing industry now has a requirement for a Engineering Manager as they undergo change across their manufacturing and technical team.

This role involves leading and nurturing the Technical Team to foster high performance and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in reducing downtime and implementing effective corrective measures.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

  • Drive team development initiatives to cultivate a sustainable workforce.
  • Enhance operational efficiency and output while maintaining safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance schedules and budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee compliance with statutory regulations and manage capex projects within deadlines and budget.
  • Focus on enhancing process reliability and capability.
  • Implementing statistical process controls to ensure product quality.
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance activities on various timeframes.
  • Managing the factory maintenance budget and optimising costs.
  • Excelling in both preventative and reactive maintenance execution.
  • Driving continuous improvement efforts through problem-solving activities.
  • Analysing maintenance performance metrics and identifying improvement opportunities.

The Person

  • 5+ years managing diverse skilled teams.
  • Ability to align maintenance strategies with site goals.
  • Experience in applying lean manufacturing principles effectively.
  • Have developed teams through structured training.
  • Ability to standardise processes and implement Lean methods.
  • Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in maintenance systems.
