Job description

Our client is a global organisation with operations across EMEA, APAC and the USA, headquartered in Ireland with a diverse workforce of over 450 employees. Currently they are seeking a Group HR Lead to join the business and operate on the Senior Leadership Team, partnering with colleagues on a global scale to effectively lead the HR function. As the new Group HR Lead, you will design and develop the HR strategy in line with the overall business objectives and have responsibility for ensuring that HR processes are current and fit for purpose.

Reporting to the CEO, you will focus on aligning the people strategy through change management, organisational redesign and development, culture transformation, talent management programmes and continuous employee engagement. You will partner with all levels of the organisation and have regular access to senior management and board members.

The Role

  • Partner with the organisation as a leader to evolve the HR strategy in line with organisational objectives.
  • Lead the design and development of key HR initiatives including in the areas of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Culture & Engagement and HR Operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of the organisation and partner effectively to provide a best-in-class service to employees.
  • Provide expert input to organisation design and development initiatives, underpinned by strong awareness of the organisational needs, people risks and succession planning across functions.
  • Drive a continuous high-performance culture focusing on organisational capability, leadership development and management development.
  • Lead the HR function in a strategic way, instilling accountability, ownership, and autonomy.
  • Participate effectively and successfully at SLT level understanding various perspectives and areas of the business, showcasing commercial knowledge and understanding.
  • Lead a group HR structure so that all HR colleagues are operating as one and employees overall feel a sense of purpose and belonging.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR leader with global experience, ideally having dealt with Ireland and the USA as key locations in their previous remit. Several years operating at a senior level with the gravitas and ability to operate at SLT level and partner effectively with peers.

You will also have:

  • Proven experience in managing complex employee relations on a global scale, understanding cultural nuances.
  • The ability to provide executive coaching and mentoring to employees where required.
  • Have a strong knowledge of HR disciplines such as Diversity, Compensation, Employee Relations, HR Systems, Performance Management, Talent Management, Organisational Effectiveness, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development.
  • Demonstratable strong commercial acumen, be a trusted confidante and advisor on fit for purpose people solutions to enable the organisation to shape and deliver it's strategic plans.
  • Have strong decision-making capability and the ability to influence, partner and negotiate with management at all levels and execute with excellence.
  • Have a positive attitude, be motivated, with strong team-working skills.
  • High levels of facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to guide and lead the Management Team through an exciting programme of change.
  • The ability to be a change catalyst who can successfully manage change and transformation on a global level.
