Our client is a leading player in the healthcare sector, dedicated to improving patient outcomes and delivering top-quality healthcare products. They are hiring a Head of Operations to lead one of their high performing business units, based in their headquarters in Dublin.

The Position

• Manage and lead a diverse team to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of product to the end patient, in line with the ask of the SME's in the field.
• Oversee inventory management, demand forecasting, and procurement processes to maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages and avoid stock outs.
• Whilst meeting best in class delivery times, you will manage the transportation of product to patients and devise strategies on how to improve the overall performance of the fleet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and process optimisation.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the warehousing and logistics teams.

The Person

• You must have excellent people leadership capabilities, preferably in a fast-paced regulated environment.
• Strong experience in handling the transportation and distribution of healthcare products preferably medical devices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives within a high volume, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Proven capability to reduce cost and plan resources to drive profitability.
