Head of Sales - Ireland & UK

HRM Search Partners are currently supporting a leading steel distributor, Coen Steel, in their search for an experienced Head of Sales. As the Head of Sales, you will be at the forefront of revenue expansion, executing comprehensive sales strategies, managing a dynamic sales team, and instilling best practices within Coen Steel in both the Ireland and the UK. This pivotal role is instrumental in achieving their corporate objectives and upholding their legacy of excellence within the steel industry.

The role

  • Craft, implement, and execute sales strategies for Ireland and the UK, aligning them with the company's overarching business roadmap.

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee the sales team, fostering unity and high performance, surpassing sales targets, and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Propel revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients, maximizing sales with existing partners, and exploring untapped market opportunities.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, and Finance departments, ensuring alignment and optimization of processes for the seamless execution of the sales strategy.

  • Spearhead the deployment of top-tier sales processes, reinforcing growth plans, optimizing conversion rates, and refining the customer and product mix.

  • Embrace and champion Coen Steel's unwavering commitment to sustainable steel solutions, devising and executing market and product initiatives in harmony with this commitment.

The Person

  • 5+ years' experience in Sales Management, with a strong background in the steel and/or construction industry.

  • At least five years in a senior sales management role, showcasing adept team leadership and development capabilities.

  • Extensive travel within Ireland and the UK is expected.

  • Proven success in expanding the customer base within both the Irish and UK markets.

  • A consistent history of surpassing sales targets.

  • Expertise in developing and implementing cutting-edge sales processes.

  • Proficiency in IT, numerical acumen, and sales analysis, including proficiency in managing sales pipelines and customer interactions via CRM systems.
