Job description

HRM have been retained by a global organisation, a leader in its field with a vast and diverse employee population, to appoint a HR BI Analyst. This key hire is critical for the Talent Transformation team. The role of the HR BI Analyst is to gather and analyse data, provide direction and support for the design, creation and upkeep of Power BI reports, and translate the findings into key insights which support decision making within the business.

The Role

  • Learn about business possibilities and problems, collaborate closely with our senior management team and business divisions. Then, utilize BI as a tool to find and visualize insights that inspire action and innovation
  • Gather and analyse data from recruitment stage and throughout the whole lifecycle of employment in compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to build out a data roadmap for HR
  • Build out on an automated BI dashboard to be used as one source of truth and joining the dots between different data sets
  • Support Leadership in making data driven decisions by providing data insights and trends and providing actionable recommendations
  • Prepare reports and presentations of data results, presenting, and explaining findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Diagnose and resolving any issues with data, reports/dashboards, getting to the root of the issue and creating a solution to avoid any risk of reoccurrence
  • Support and recommend ad-hoc BI and analytical solutions to meet business needs in an agile manner
  • Educating key stakeholders on how to self-serve their data needs through the use of the HR Dashboard.

The Person

  • 5+ years' data analyst experience, preferably within a HR environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic background preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server stack (SSIS, Tabular SSAS, SSRS) and Transact SQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate Platform.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational and dimensional Data Modelling and Data Warehouse design skills.
  • Strong SQL language experience with Microsoft T-SQL and SQL tools like Stored Procedures and Functions.
  • Experience in designing and developing data visualisations through Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to collate and present results in a concise, creative and professional manner.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Powerpoint, Excel, and the ability to create charts, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Strong working knowledge of operational HR systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong understanding of database design and management, including SQL and data modelling.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate Platform.
  • Experience working in an agile product development environment.
