Job description

My client is an innovative brand with a large presence in Ireland and Europe and a growing employee population that are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to work closely with business leaders to drive key aspects of the employee lifecycle to support the delivery of the divisional strategy. A key focus of this role will involve driving effective employee engagement through the delivery of a strong advisory service for project directors, people managers and team members across the workforce.

Reporting to the Head of HR for Ireland & Europe, your responsibilities will include;

  • Lead the development and implementation of the people strategy and support the rollout of a range of all strategic HR initiatives. in a way that supports the People Plan.
  • Support the rollout of a range of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
  • Present the latest people trends, challenges and initiatives at various local management forums.
  • Work with local project leads to pragmatically resolve individual performance, grievance, or disciplinary issues in a sensitive manner.
  • Work with project leads to develop and regularly update resource plans, recruitment needs, retirements & resignations.
  • Manage the relationship with several agency partners to ensure the successful attraction of top talent into the organisation.
  • Use people-focused data and external insights to help drive, measure and improve business performance.
  • Link with a range of development providers to ensure that talent actions are implemented as part of the divisional Talent & Succession Planning cycle.
  • Provide support to Regional Directors and People Managers to resolve any people related challenges encountered by them and their wider teams on a day-to-day basis, including 'right sizing' their business.
  • Support the roll out of the company mental health & wellbeing programmes and liaise with local project leads on individual health matters and arrange referrals to the occupational health provider as appropriate.
  • Play an active role in the HR team, proactively working and leading cross-functional activity and initiatives.

The Person

You will be a qualified HR professional with at least 10 years' experience operating at a senior level. You must have exposure to working across regions specifically European countries. You will have the ability to influence and challenge colleagues at all levels in a positive and engaging way and you will have worked in a multi-site environment in the past. Possession of strong communication and presentation skills is important and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is key.

  • Third level degree with CIPD is essential.
