Job description

HRM Search Partners are seeking a HR Manager. Working exclusively with this national multi-media (print and online) organisation this in an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join the organisation for this 12 month assignment. You can be based in either Cork or Dublin. requiring one day per week in each location (with some flexibility for should you require this). The remainder of your week can be based from home, with the option to work in their state of the art offices, should you so wish. This position will commence late October/early November 2022.

The Role

  • Support management strategies and initiatives to assist the organisation in meeting business goals and objectives
  • Assist line managers and department heads to implement agreed programmes
  • Work closely with managers to advise and empower them on employee relations and employment law issues to ensure a co-ordinated approach to the management of staff issues in line with company strategy
  • Handle industrial relations issues, as required, on an individual and collective basis in particular areas and/or particular subjects in line with the business requirements of the company
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures in line with the company culture and strategy to ensure best HR practices throughout the company
  • Help source, organise and co-ordinate training programmes as part of a company-wide re-training and up-skilling process in line with business requirements
  • Have oversight of Talent Acquisition activity
  • Carry out project work as required - HR will play a central role in any new initiatives and plans and the department will provide appropriate support and guidance
  • To manage the existing team of 2, based in Cork
  • To work closely with the Chief People Officer on operational and strategic implementation plans for the Group

The Person

  • 10 years HR plus experience, at least 3 in a HR Manager role.
  • Ideally will have experience in working within a medium sized indigenous organisation.
  • Strong employee relations, Irish employment law (including practical experience in Ireland) & employee engagement experience.
  • Experience of working within a unionised environment is desirable to further enhance positive working relationships.
