Our client is a leading global medical device manufacturing organisation. Due to their continued growth they are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join their flagship manufacturing facility in Waterford, Ireland.

The Role

• You will report directly into the VP & Site Lead with responsibility for leading and supporting change management initiatives while driving the focus of the people across manufacturing operations.
• The Operations Director will develop a high-performance organisation managing talent and succession planning for the operation's functions.
• Participating fully as a senior leadership member in formulating and administering company policies and long-term objectives, you will play a key role in the direction and focus of the overall progression of the company.
• Leading all aspects of capacity planning, manufacturing and product delivery.
• Providing expertise, guidance and direction on operations issues in line with company policies and procedures.
• You will be responsible for achieving excellence in operational goals for supply, quality, yield and cost for the facility.

• A result orientated leader with a proven capability to drive high performance and bring people along with them.
• Experienced in high volume, high automation fast paced manufacturing operations.
• A cost focused leader who can solve complex problems through practical solutions with a keen eye for operational excellence.
• Executive level influencing skills and knowledge of change management processes with the ability to balance the culture of the organisation allied to a strong business acumen.
• Management skills in planning, implementing, monitoring and excellent presentation, communication and IT skills.
