Planning Manager

This organisation develops and manufactures medical devices used by interventional cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons in angioplasty procedures. They are going through impressive growth currently and they are looking for an ambitious Planning Manager to join their team on a full time basis with a big emphasis on loyalty and progression within the company as there is currently a very low turnover rate within the organisation.

The Position:

As Planning Manager you will join an ambitious team reporting into the Senior Operations and Supply Chain Manager with your main responsibilities focusing on establishing, directing and maintaining effective planning practices. Other responsibilities will include:

  • The management of up to 30 direct reports across planning, customer service and warehousing
  • Ensuring the planning/customer service/warehouse departments are all compliant with requirements set out to meet audit standards
  • You will be responsible for the production planning process at sub assembly and end item product stage across the entire product range
  • You will play a key role in managing all personnel activity for the planning group including hiring, mentoring, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Identifying and implementing lean and continuous improvement activities focusing on reducing waste and increasing the flexibility of the production planning function

The Person:

  • The successful candidate will have over 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial position in a planning function
  • Medical Device experience is desirable
  • You will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field
  • Strong systems experience is required for this position, particularly Microsoft Excel
