Job description

Our client is a large FMCG company based in Dublin operating on a global scale, due to internal restructuring as well as the centralisation of the procurement function they are seeking to hire an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager. The indirect spends portfolio comprises a spend responsibility in the region of 300million across 11 countries. The role:

  • In this role you will engage with internal stakeholders to identify and align procurement categories in scope for prioritisation
  • You will conduct category analysis of product ranges and sourcing strategies, working with stakeholders to harmonize across global manufacturing sites
  • In this role you will be responsible for identifying key category suppliers that can support across Europe and work to consolidate the spend from the long tail of low-spend suppliers
  • You will be responsible for owning the commercial relationship with suppliers and negotiate accordingly
  • You will work with the local finance teams to define the monitoring and reporting required to ensure compliance to the process
  • You will review spends according with country finance teams and will make appropriate recommendations to relevant stakeholders
  • You will manage all indirect categories spend, deploying analytical tools and financial instruments to assess risk, recommend action, manage market volatility and optimize costs

The Person

  • You will need to be degree qualified with either a business/finance or Supply Chain Management qualification
  • For this role you will need a finance background with experience in governance and compliance control
  • You will need Project Management experience
  • Indirect procurement experience across multiple sites in preferable
  • You will need Strategic Supplier Relationship management experience
  • You should possess category strategy development experience, category management as well as Strategic sourcing experience
  • Experience working with SAP is necessary for this role
