The Role

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer include but are not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilising Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimisation specific to the customer
• Providing support for all quoting activities by participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases
• Primary interface with the customer in relation to quality issues - customer generated quality issues as well as process/assembly issues
• Reviewing all supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies, coordinate and track the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts
• Supporting all global training programs specific to their customer by development and implementation of specialised training sessions for all applicable functions
• Developing appropriate systems for document storage, access and review pertaining to global customer accounts
• Conducting periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files; develop appropriate systems for document storage and access
• Providing insight and assistance of implementing and maintaining Process Improvement and Optimisation concentrating on proactive methodologies

The Person

The ideal candidate will have qualifications & experience in the following:

• Degree in Engineering or similar
• Minimum three years' experience in a Quality Engineer role or similar
• Demonstrated adherence to procedures, experience writing procedures would be an advantage
• Experience in Advanced Quality Planning would be an advantage
• SAP experience would be an advantage
• Experience with statistical software packages would be an advantage (Minitab etc)
