Quality Manager

This family-run Irish FMCG organisation was founded nearly 40 years ago and have grown from a small factory to a world class processing plant. They export their products across Europe and the wider world. A position has opened up for a Quality Manager to join the Quality team.

The Role

Responsibilities of the Quality Manager will include:

  • Implementing and managing the plant Quality control systems and Hygiene systems and Hygiene team
  • Maintaining the site HACCAP plan and associated documentation
  • Customer Complaints / Specification Management
  • Responsible for Bord Bia MPQAS including reconciliation and spot audits
  • Responsible for Environmental system including EPA site visits
  • Leading BRC audits and maintain current high grade
  • Liaising with the Department of Agriculture regarding departmental audits
  • Monitoring product yields

The Person

The ideal candidate will have qualifications and experience in the following:

  • Third level qualification in food science or equivalent
  • Minimum three years quality management in food manufacturing sector
  • Knowledge of BRC standard and audits, Bord Bia MPQAS, supplier audits and visits
  • Knowledge of allergens and labelling requirements
  • HACCP Qualification / Training cert
  • Internal Auditing Experience (certificate desired)
