Our client is a global leader in the biotech industry sector with expanding operations both globally and here in Ireland. They are seeking an experienced Technology professional to lead their IT Manufacturing operations at their new state-of-the-art biologics drug substance manufacturing facility. The site is currently at the green field stage with ambitious timelines to manufacturing ready.

The organisation is committed to delivering innovative medicines to patients around the world. With plans to invest over $1 billion into the new state-of-the-art facility, the Senior Director of IT will play a key role in creating the smartest tech manufacturing facility in Ireland.

The Position

• You will serve as a leader for the entire IT function with dual reporting to both site and global VPs.

• Ensuring site operational readiness across all IT platforms with the successful integration of IT systems including, infrastructure, enterprise resource planning, MES systems, Warehouse Management systems, Data Historian, real time floor tracking, data integration, data analytics, data integrity, digital plant, LIMs, CAPA systems, access security, risk management and building monitoring.

• You will be a member of the site leadership team providing IT functional leadership by developing and implementing an IT strategy and business plan.

• Partnering cross-functionally locally and globally to establish and implement the site IT roadmap.

• You will recruit and build a high-performing team of IT professionals while leading, coaching and developing team members.

• Establish a strong site culture based on the organisation's values, expectations and OpEx standards.

• Providing leadership in the development and execution of cGMP improvement plans within the IT function.

• The IT leader will ensure there is a solution-orientated organisation providing oversight to technical activities and encouraging knowledge sharing and education.

The Person

• You must be an ambitious leader with over 10 years experience in an IT leadership role within the manufacturing industry.

• Experience in an IT position within biologics manufacturing is preferred, however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

• Must have a strong ability to form effective relationships at all levels.

• You will have a demonstrated track record of successfully developing, managing and executing projects from start to finish on time and within budget.

• Experience developing and managing talented, engaged and high-performing teams with a focus on building strong cultures for a safe and successful working environment.
